I graduated from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg , Kansas in Dec. 2004. I was offered a 2nd grade teaching position at Community Elementary School in Coffeyville in 2005. In 2008, I accepted the Literacy Coach position for USD 445 for Prek-2nd grade. This is the start of my eleventh year with USD 445. My master’s degree is through Newman University in ESOL Curriculum and Instruction and Building Leadership. I consider it a privilege to serve the community as the principal of the ELC. I am very happily married to the love of my life, whom I met in kindergarten! We have 2 beautiful and intelligent children. Our daughter, Audrey is beginning 2nd grade at CES and our son, Jefrey is enrolled at the ELC for his first school experience. He is very excited to begin preschool!
I love the Early Learning Center with all my heart. I am so proud of what we are able to achieve in partnership with our community and am very excited to serve in a new role. I value our partners and hope that all communities can someday have the opportunity that Coffeyville has. We are able to prepare all children with high quality preschool through development of social emotional skills, academics, physical development, healthy habits, and the ability to learn and grow!!! We are in the business of making dreams come true… one preschool story at a time!!!
